What do you call someone who tries to poison everything that is good about working together ?

The answer, of course, is Alex Salmond.

Forget that team GB did so well, forget that people from all over the UK with their own separate national identities worked together as a team and proved to be more as a team than merely the sum of their parts, forget that at a time when conflict and argument seems to be splitting nations, people from across the UK showed that unity brings strength and from this strength comes extraordinary achievement, Alex Salmond uses it a a pathetic attempt to waive his nationalist banner and detract from everything that has been achieved over the last 17 days.

Interestingly, Chris Hoy the scottish triple Gold winning cyclist said he did not support the idea of a Scottish team as it was the funding and facilities provided to and by Team GB that allowed the team to achieve what they did in Beijing. A fact that Salmond seems to have ignored completely.

Does Scotland actually like Alex Salmond or do they just hate Labour more?

LFAT - I suspect they've just got the hump with Labour.

I can't believe anyone would want to be governed by Salmond.

Salmond is an idiot whototally ignored the fact that one of the three medals was won in a GB team event.

The man was just looking for something to propagate his own agenda!

Plus has anybody actually looked into the effects of a GB football team or is it a case of "it may effect things"?

You do realise the irony here? Salmond invited your Scottish colleagues to talk about working together in May last year, and got turned down flat.

Sod flags. The Scottish Liberal Democrats only know how to work with Labour, and it will be their undoing.

Chalk and cheese. the Lib Dem did not want to work with a nationalist party.

Using your logic the Lib Dems should work with any party irrespective of policy.

What an utterly pointless argument.
