Looking at weather forecasts from various sources, it is clear that by the end of the week most of the country will be having rain, as opposed to snow, and evening temperatures should be above freezing, meaning an end to the ice and snow.
And all I can say is thank goodness for that !

It has been snowing off and on in Mileham all day but the slow thaw continues that the Lobby Group for Global Warming ( Met Office) has so far failed to mention
No - there has to be more snow, surely.
Interesting how the papers have just got round to mentioning the absurd law regarding shifting the snow away outside one's house. When were you mentioning it Nich? three weeks ago? You're ahead of your time, young Nich!
Thanks for acknowledging it. Yes, and which is the only house down my road which is clear outside ????
In Germany you have to take out your own personal accident insurance so they have none of this claim culture we have here, and you get a fine if you DON'T clear the snow from outside your house. We used to clear ours and the old ladies next door, all the roads and pavements were salted. all the schools open. we have a lot to learn.
You would have thought labour would have been interested in fining even more people.
