Proof that the Daily Mail really is your Daily Scum

Liberal Conspiracy, not a blog I always warm to, has a great article picking apart the Daily Mail story on immigrants outnumbering the number of people signing on for benefits. The implied bias of the Daily mail artcile was to make out that immigrants were over here putting British people out of work. In short the artcile was a BNP wet dream.

It's well worth a read and can be found HERE.

Whilst the Daily Mail's support for the Nazis in the 1930s (and indeed in to the 40s) might be a long time ago, its support for natioanlism still lives on.

...and the BNP have turned the Mail's investigation into a press release.

I won't link to it, but it is on the BNP's website titled "More Immigrant Jobseekers than Indigenous Brits, New Figures Reveal"

Johann Hari's criticism of Richard Littlejohn and the BNP can be applied to the entire paper... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxmlaur5UsA

How can it be scum when it opposes racist political parties like the genocide supporting Nazis of the LibDems? In fact it is the closest to a liberal newspaper in Britain. But then you already knew that.

As an inducement to people in wales and scotland to vote lib/dem, the lib/dems are offering more devolution of powers, but they are not suggesting that this should affect welsh and scots lib/dem westminster mp's from voting on English affairs. thelib/dems have not been liberal and democratic when it comes to England.

And what does that have to do with the Daily Scum telling lies that are then printed in a BNP press release as justification for their policies ?

You don't think that "scum" is a useful agent in procreation, while the Daily Mail is an abuse of good sense and willfully lies and libels in billionaires' interests, then?

If you put "Daily Mail" onto the middle line of Google Advanced Search, and "Libel" on the top one, and then restrict your search to a week, you will find 554 hits.

Not all references to libels by the Daily mail of course, but the top one is:

Mark Lester - Oliver Actor Accepts Libel Damages From Daily Mail ...
5 days ago - Child star Mark Lester has been awarded substantial libel damages after launching a legal action against the Daily Mail newspaper - Mark Lester News at ...
www.contactmusic.com/.../oliver-actor-accepts-libel-damages-from-daily- mail_1088991 - Cached - Similar

The Daily Express may have a still more wanton approach away from the truth, but far fewer references. Perhaps its readers don't know what "libel" means?

If you look down the list of references on the Mail, you will find they often repeat lies told elsewhere principally because they want to promote those lies.

It is well past time for HMG to insist that retractions of libelous statements require at least as much space and prominence as the original libels did.
