I just thought the BBC might want to know that despite their constant advertising on every radio station in the BBC network, between virtually every programme on BBC 1, 2, 3 & 4 (and probably News and Parliament also), I really don't care about Glastonbury. Even when I was younger, I didn't really care about it. A friend of mine lived in Pilton (where the festival is actually held), and I still didn't want to go to the festival.
It's much the same as Ibiza, which the BBC will soon start plugging on all channels in order to get us to listen to (and justify) Radio One sending dozens of its presenters and other staff to the island for a "jolly".
So if you didn't get that, I DON'T CARE ABOUT GLASTONBURY.

I totally understand if you don't personally like the music, but I think Glastonbury is one of the few things that the BBC does well - and I'm hardly the BBC's biggest fan.
Looking forward to The Specials coming on in a few minutes.
I am sure they cover it brilliantly, the BBC always does. It's just that they seem to think everyone on every channel is interested in it. Maybe BBC3 and BBC4 for the more arty, but plugging it between every show on BBC1 is tiresome whilst hearing Lauren Laverne dropping her "t"s on Radio 5 between travel and sports updates was just grating.
Oh, and it is not that i don't like the music. I love Blur (reformed and playing Glastonbury) and still see gigs at the UEA in Norwich, but I just hate the overkill and the obsessions with the fact that the BBC seem to think we should all be obsessed too.
For the benefit of Norfolk Blogger - I DO CARE ABOUT GLASTONBURY!
So we've got that straight :)
Nor do I. I'm switching off the radio.
I would also comment that I don't care about Michael Jackson apart fro a general feeling of regret about anyone's death at a relatively young age.
But I bet Gordon's glad, because its taken him off the from pages for a few days.
Cynica? Who me?
The Specials were fucking awesome
and for a whole hour!
well done BBC
political types have never done music well as it's largely a working class thing that posh kids latch onto for a short while - just witness the cringy farce when they have to name some bands they 'like'.
Anonymous - learn to read for goodness sake. I didn't say I didn't like music. i didn't say it shouldn't be covered by the BBC. I said I did not want it rammed down my throat between every programme on the whole of the BBC network.
