Most useless attack in a political leaflet ever ?

Jonathan Wallace has highlighted what must be one of the poorest attacks ever in a political leaflet which highlights the problems the Labour Party face at the moment. In Jonathan's ward in Gateshead there is a by-election taking place, and the Labour Party have taken it upon themselves to attack the Tories for failing to support the NHS 60 years ago !

"Whilst I am a proponent of using an opponent's record against them, suggesting people should not vote for a political party for something that party did 60 years ago does seem to be scraping the bottom of the barrel."

I couldn't have put it better myself.

Reminds me of my friend's spoof leaflet - "The Liberals claim to be against the war, but last time they were in Government they sent the flower of England's youth to be massacred on the battlefields of Flanders".

He can always print up his own leaflet highlighting the 62 year old Labour Tanganyika Groundnut Fiasco as an example of Labour's penchant for spending taxpayers money, with little material benefit, on a colossal scale.
