I don't know if the Iranian claims in this BBC story are true or not. More than likely it is a load of old bullshit from the Iranian government (after all, they did declare the holocaust did not happen and there are no gay people in Iran).
If it is true though, well done to Charlton for making a stand.

I would like to comment on this but the bloody link doesnt work! Please explain.
But Fifa says politics shouldn't clash with football. I don't think we're yet in the possition where we would need to stop friendly matches with Iran.
