THIS story today about a pupils getting marks for writing a swear word on an exam paper has all the hallmarks of an urban myth.
It reminds me of the course that certain pupils who were not GCE (O Level) standard when I was at school. They used to to a course called the "365 Course", and we used to joke that you passed it if you got your name, school and candidate number right.

Even if it's true, they get an awe-inspiring 7.5%. Not 7.5% extra, mind, but just plain 7.5%. I can't imagine any mark scheme where that's not a fail.
