The Conservatives seem to have got themselves in to something of a pickle of the way they have selected their European Parliamentary candidates for next year.
Potential candidates have been told that they have lost or won, but there are claims that some existing MEPs were actually deselected by the electorate and were only saved by special intervention. But the real problem is, that despite supposedly being a democratic party, the Conservative Party will not reveal the votes cast for each candidate.
It's akin to the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission, controlled by Mugabe, but at least they released the figures in the end.
Come on David Cameron, show that you believe in democracy by truly endorsing it within your own party. Print the results and let the candidates know how they did.
