Nick Clegg most secure party leader ... according to Betfair

I was having a look through Betfair earlier and was interested to see that of all the party leaders, Nick Clegg appeared to be the most secure.

How did I measure this ? Well not one person has made a bet on Nick Clegg stepping down as lib Dem Party leader. A small amount has been bet on David Cameron and as you might guess, a much larger amount had been bet on Gordon Brown going.

Er, I think that may be Dave now. A win of 8000, far better than any of us could have hoped for.

This is the end of Labour. They have nothing to offer only the class war. The British people have seen through it all. How much more damage will Labour do before the next election ?. They should go to the country after a result like this.

Maybe people don't bet on Nick Clegg because the public don't have a clue who he is?

No comment yet from NB about the Tory victory in crewe, it must be a bitter pill to swallow for a Tory hater.

It is the end of labour and a golden oppotunity for a proper Liberal party. It needs to rejct the SDP influence and move to the right, it is its only chance.
