What is Garth Crooks on ? Somebody at the BBC must surely have noticed ?

Watching the BBC's "score interactive" programme this afternoon in my slightly fevered state, I can't be the only person to have noticed that Garth Crooks has suddenly become very aggressive, shouty and really very patronising. The way he cut across comments from Carlton Palmer on a number of occasions and kept giving him the evil eye was bordering on blatant rudeness on a number of occassions.

I've never been impressed by Garth Crooks skills on TV anyway, but today should have shown the BBC at least why someone needs to take him aside and get him to think about his attitude. Really very bizarre, or was it all a fever inspired delusional episode ?

He is a sharp cookie and very keen. But I have occasionally enjoyed the full "red button" experience of Final Score or whatever it is called from 4pm. Garth Crooks is far from laid back. On one occasion he and the other bloke on the left hand side of the sofa ganged up on poor old (very laid back) Gavin Peacock on the far left. It was simply a metter of whether the new manager of some team would be responsible if his team won that afternoon. Due to our Garth stoking the fire it almost turned into World War Three! But be careful, Nich, remember what happened to me when I ask what a certain light entertainer "was on"!! ;-)

Thank god, someone else has noticed, He was on top form on the show just on Saturday past, Carlton Parmer really annoyed him about because of the Gerrard penalty, its top entertainment because he is useless!

The funniest thing is, in hindsight, that he was arguing with Calton Palmer than Watford had turned a corner and could stary up. Palmer disagreed with him strongly.

Crooks argued that Watford would beat Wigan and Everton and they would be off of the bottom. As we can see now, he was wrong on all three counts and Carlton Palmer was right.
