Spineless Europeans !

I've made my views clear in Iraq before (we should be there now and we should never have invaded), but equally, I am strongly in support of the efforts in Afghanistan, which was a training camp for international terrorism and the home of Al Quaeda (or however you spell it).

So it is a great shame, but not unexpected, that our so called European partners in NATO have refused to offer support to the Durch, Canadian and British forces fighting in Southern Afghanistan. It appears, at the moment, that NATO have the Taliban on the run (500 Taliban have been killed by Canadian forces in the last week and another 200 by the British). This is the ideal time to capitalise on the successes, but out spineless European chums have no stomach for it.

The next time an Afghan trained bomber causes an atrocity in mainland Europe (Holland excluded), perhaps these European nations might have some serious questions to ask about the position of their backbone, or indeed whether they have one at all.

It reminds me of the old joke.
"The French have raised their terrorist threat level from 'Capitulate' to 'Collaborate' !

Slightly newer one:
Why are the French lanes lined with trees?
So that liberating armies can march in the shade.

I don't want to be a European basher, but the stance of nations like France and Belgium (remember the Belgians refusing to sell us artillery shells in the first gulf war because they were afraid of terrorist attacks) really annoys me.

As I wrote though, not all Europe can be tarred with the same brush as the Dutch are doing there bit.
