Once every two years suddenly golf seems interesting

It is easy to be one of those that scoffs at golf, and I try not to do it. I like a game of pitch and putt, and golf is a good way to get some gentle fitness (I don't subscribe to the view that Golf is a good walk spoilt). However, like squash, I find golf deathly boring on TV.

So, why have I just been glued to the TV for the last few days, relishing my SKY subscription ? Of course it's the Ryder Cup !

So well done to Europe for winning (funny how we all like to be European for 3 days every other year) and well done for the way the players won it in stlye. My heart went out to Darren Clarke when he won his game, a really touching moment for everyone.

So now, two more years of boring wall to wall golf coverage. At least there is the football to watch !
