Iain Dale attacks a Tory Council !

I almost fell of my chair when I read Iain Dale rightly criticising Tory run Bromley Council who appear to be run by a bunch of jackbooted jobsworths.

It's a very rare event when Iain Dale attacks the Tories, but in this case very deserving.

And for what it is worth I share Iain's sentiment and then some. I am afraid we are seeing the Rise of the 'CINO' in too many parts of local government.

CINO ?

Nich, you clearly haven't been reading my blog very closely over recent weeks. Guildford and Bournemouth councils have also attracted my wrath.

Feel free to point out any councils run by your own party which you have ever criticised!

OK, but I doubt this was a member level decision.

Are we abolutely sure this would never happen in a LibDem majority council?

I'm afraid I've seen too many "local government bureaucrats" and "political correctness gone mad" stories about councils which, when I look to see who "runs" them, we do, that I certainly couldn't be sure it wouldn't happen to us.

If we don't want it to happen to us, those of us in executive positions in councils need to think about what they shuld do to make sure it doesn't.

Duh! Nich instead of making yourself out to be an idiot, simply copy and paste into Firefox and let Google find your answer...Conservative in Name Only

Iain, there are less Lib Dem councils to criticise, but as you well know I am critical of the Lib Dems on a whole host of issues and have also criticised the South norfolk Lib Dem party as well as the Norwich City Council group too.
