The final question in my recent readers survey proved some deeply revealing answers. I asked "What do you think the result of the next general election will be ?"
And the results were
Labour majority government - 2.0%
Labour largest party - 4.0%
Conservative majority government - 74%
Conservative largest party - 20%
So despite the fact that 5% of people who completed my survey were Labour supporters, less than half of those actually think Labour will form a majority government.
Interestingly too, Liberal Democrat supporters seem sure that the Tories are set to win at the next election. This is not to say they anticipate impending doom for the Lib Dem. Lib Dems know better than anyone that sitting Lib Dem MPs are quite capable of bucking national trends (just look at the swings to the Lib Dems in places like Colchester and North Norfolk as examples). What is clear though, no matter what way you look at it, activists from all parties think Labour have had it.

Did you cross-tab to see if they were the same people?
I'm doing one of these surveys myself, and it's far worse that just putting opinions out there - does anyone care enough to actually take part?

Matt, I think you have to subscribe to a higher level user to do this, but I will certainly check.
Can you just download all the results as a spreadsheet or equivalent?
