Gordon Brown is reported to have said that the first cabinet meeting after the summer recess will be held in the West Midlands.
There are two possible reason that come to mind for him doing this.
1) The West Midlands is a very big place. If he is quite vague about where the meeting is, perhaps the cabinet won't be able to turn up and tell him he must quit.
2) He wants them all to be out of their comfort zone so as to make them less likely to call for him to go.
Either way, it's a gimmick which I cannot imagine will make one person in the West Midland more likely to vote Labour.

My concern is what will the cost be for Gordon's Gimmick?
