The much and rightly maligned communication allowance for MPs has been in place for some time now, but how many MPs are actually spending it ?
Iain Dale wrote in his column last Saturday in the Eastern Daily Press that "But as I well know, incumbency has its advantages as you can point to things you have done and achieved, and now of course MPs have the outrageous £10,000 “Communications Allowance” to tell us how good they are. "
I agree with Iain that the communications allowance is outrageous and hope that any future government of a different political colour would abolish it. I wonder if the Tories will be brave enough to do this if they are in power ?
