The Royal Mail is more under threat and the customer has no benefit from it

It is interesting to note that a report today stated what was obvious to anyone interested in the problems faced by the Royal Mail.

An independent group has reported that the opening up of postal services to competition has provided no benefit to residential customers or small and medium sized business and its only real achievement has been the erosion of the financial stability of the Royal Mail.

Funnily enough it seemed obvious that this would happen to everyone except the government.

Royal Mail should have been fully privatised years ago with provision to run rural post offices subsidised by the tax payer.

Like all nationalised organisations its a mess.
