The end of an era

Anyone wanting to copy Andy Warhol's famous Campbell's soup painting will be out of luck as the Kings Lynn factory where the unique condensed soup was made is to close and the famous Campbell's brand is to disappear and be renamed part of the Batchelors brand.

A metaphor for the Lib Dems perhaps ? An old outdated brand being replaced by a new one, out with the Campbell's, in with the Cleggs ?

Campbell's condensed pea and ham soup has not been available for some years but it was the only commercially produced soup of that recipe that was worth drinking (eating?), an opinion shared by a number of my friends and acquaintances.

One day, shortly after the second coming perhaps, a bomb will be exploded under 'progress', wherever it is.
