I'm starting a "Lib Dems for Cameron" campaign

The knives are out, the gloss has flaked away too easily from Mr Cameron and the some of the Tories have realised that if you take the outer layer away from a vacuum, you find nothing inside except an empty space.

The more I speak to people about Cameron, the more colleagues and friends tell me about what they feel, then the more I feel he is an asset to the other parties.

In simple terms, people view him as something of a toff who will say and do anything in order to gain votes whilst nobody knows what he stands for.

A few weeks ago I was blamed or accused of starting a campaign to get rid of Ming Campbell. I'm now convinced Ming is up to the job of leading us up to the next general election. However, with some Tories now realising that Cameron is performing at the same level as Iain Duncan Smith, it is vital for the Lib Dems (and Labour) that the Tories keep him, so I am officially launching the "Lib Dems for Cameron" campaign.

Tories, I urge you to keep Cameron, for the sake of the country. With your help the Lib Dems will prosper !

A feeble copy of the "Tories for Ming" group. Given the two leaders we know who the country will vote for: Cameron up 900 council seats, Ming down 250. Explain that.

And how many seats did the Tories gain under IDS ? A similar figure ?

It might be a copy, but there fact is that the shine has come of Cameron and Ealing proved his name is no vote winner.

Under IDS the Tories gained circa 500 at best, around half of the Cameron result. However under Ming it has been the worst since when?

"A few weeks ago I was blamed or accused of starting a campaign to get rid of Ming Campbell."

Oh come, come. No-one accused you campaign to get rid of him:

"It's time for people to stand up and be counted. We read about senior Lib Dem MP's and Peers being angry with Ming, yet all we get is rumour. We need someone to put their head above the parapet and be counted. I'm sure I will get plenty of flak for writing this, being disloyal is not in my nature. However, sometimes, you know you are just saying what others are muttering. For all our sakes, it is time for Ming to go !"

Delighted to see you've come to your senses, but let's not airbrush the past, shall we?

Silly and immature Nich - not what we expect of you.

Nich Starling said...

Anonymous, I am not quite sure what is immature. I genuinely think the corner has turned for Cameron and it is all down hill from here.

Here Here. it will be interesting to see if DC's policy reviews actually come up with genuinely ground breaking policy initiaives, and crucially, ones which break with the tory past and challenge traditional tory values (the grammar school fiaso suggests not) and we should probbaly wait until then before passing full judgement on the young pretender, but regardless of whether he is able to turn the tide, the fact is that he is now stuck with the photo opp friendly, image obsessed 'David CameraOn?' badge and he'll have trouble shaking that off.

All very silly, Nich. Also, I urge you to get rid of the Fuck Up Ealing Southall link - it doesn't put you or your colleagues in a good light.

Justin, if it is you (not logged in ) or Grant Shapps, I would argue that you says worse on your blog.

It is me - am logged in now. Can you provide me with an example? Can't think of a single occasion when I've linked to such a vulgar site.

I can certainly make reference to vulgarlity from you in comments to this blog

"Nich, as I said the other day, I am, sadly, becoming tired of your childish attacks on us Conservatives. Have you actually been to Southall? I was told that it was going well, so I travelled there today to help Tony Lit and gage the mood of the campaign. I got off at Southall train station and turned left, towards the shops on the Broadway. Every other shop and restaurant had a "Vote Tony Lit" poster up. The quality of our literature was really good and we have thousands of activists to help delivery and canvass. In contrast, I saw one or two Lib Dem posters, but even they were displayed next to Vote Lit ones! And I spotted your candidate going around canvassing with a very small team of people. He certainly didn't look happy. The election is going to be close - between Tony and Labour. Can't wait to see the look of Lib Dem faces at the count, especially that twat Pack. Perhaps you ought to get down and see what’s going on? I know that Lib Dems act shamelessly, stir endlessly and are wicked, but I thought better of you"

In hindsight, it is bloody hilarious, but you used vulgar language about a Lib Dem activist and it is as bad as the thing on my blog.

You will, no doubt be aware that the thing on my blog just takes you through to James Graham's blog.

What is wrong with that ?

Mark Pack is a twat - he's also got an unhealthy obsession with me!!!

It was close, Lib Dems only 1,500 votes ahead...
