UK is bottom of the league when it comes to a child's quality of life

What a shocking indictment of this Labour government and all its rhetoric on making a difference in to children's lives that Britain, one of the richest nations in the world came bottom of the league of the top 21 industrial nations in the world in a Unicef report in to child welfare.

Read the report on this HERE.

The reports makes clear that the only area, thankfully for me as a teacher, that we scored highly in was education. In all other areas, the UK was in the bottom third.

If all else fails this year in the local elections and you need a story to put on your leaflets, then remind the general public of this story again and again and again, but what it highlights is that those who this country will rely on in the future, the children on Britain, are being let down, and let down badly.
