Whilst the Tories Party in Bournemouth, local Conservatives increase transport costs for students in Norfolk

The EDP highlights today the appalling decision by the ruling Tories on Norfolk County Council to increase transport costs for students by 50%. http://new.edp24.co.uk/content/news/story.aspx?brand=EDPOnline&category=News&tBrand=edponline&tCategory=news&itemid=NOED03%20Oct%202006%2008%3A29%3A58%3A947

I hardly think this needs a lot of talking about, but is is symptomatic of the way the Tories have run Norfolk since they took control in 2001. Social services in Norfolk have seen massive cuts, grants to valuable educational centres like Holt Hall and Wells Field Study Centre have been squeezed, the Tories tried to claw back cash from thos schools last year that had made savings in their own budgets whilst at the same time Council Tax has gone up massively. Perversely, in this period of time, the amount spent on entertainment by the Tory council has risen !

This lastest policy seems almost designed to affect most those living in rural areas and will put students of education. Is this the brand new Tory Party David Cameron has been going on about all week ?
