I'm posting this today from Wells, in wonderful North Norfolk, having spent last night on a residential trip with my school. Despite having lived in North Norfolk for a little over four years, I still regard the district as my home, so it is always good to come back.
The other thing that I like about "coming back", is when I do so NOT to deliver leaflets. Taking my school group around Wells last night, they commented "you know your way around well Mr Starling", I didn't tell them it is because I had canvassed most of Wells at some point over the last 12 years, but it is true that if you really want to know an area, get involved politically, offer to leaflet or canvass, and you will soon have an intricate knowledge of every doorway, pothole or faulty streetlight.
Anyway, back home later, to my own bed (Hooray !)

Wells is lovely. My great aunt (and her mother before her) lives there.
My father spent much of his childhood there, he still knows his way around :)
Indeed. It was spectacularly lovely yesterday. Not a cloud in the sky, the kids had fish and chips from Plattens (I don't go to French's since Mrs French was extremely rude to me), and it was just beautiful.
It was also just so nice knowing I had no leaflets to have to deliver. Don't tell Norman Lamb though, as I'm sure he'd find me something to do ;-)
